Frequently Asked Questions for Transporting my vehicle

Frequently Asked Questions1. How long will it take to ship my vehicle?Average time is 10 to 14 days upon pick up for coast to coast trips. Medium distances will not require as much time. This time is needed to allow us to complete a load on our transporters. We use satellite tracking and maintain daily contact with the drivers. You will also be provided with the driver’s cell phone number for any questions during shipping you may have.2. Can I place personal items in my car?We strongly discourage putting items in your car during transport! They can be shifted during transport and damage the interior or a windshield. We also ask that you leave the trunk empty for weight and inspection purposes. The driver will inspect the car inside and out and make notations. If items are placed inside the car drivers will inspect the contents.3. Does the transport company have insurance to protect my car?A certificate for proof of coverage can be provided upon customers’ request. Your vehicle will be fully insured while being transported.4. What can I expect when the driver comes for my car?First, the driver will thoroughly inspect the inside and outside of your car for any existing damage. This will be noted on an inspection sheet that will require your signature. This protects both you and the driver in the rare case of any damage during shipment. The driver will also note the odometer reading on your car and note it on the inspection sheet. The driver will re-inspect the car and odometer reading at delivery. Once again, the delivery receipt will be signed by you and the driver.5. Will the driver come right to my door to get my vehicle? Esteem Transport offers door to door service on pick up and delivery. There may be circumstances that will hinder our ability to provide this service. If you live on a street where trucks are prohibited or the streets are simply too small to get into with our trucks, an alternate spot may be selected. Please make the driver aware of any low bridges, low hanging branches or power lines, cables, etc. that could prevent a tractor/trailer from safely coming to your door. If it is not possible to reach your door, an alternate pick up or delivery place will found that is as close to you as possible
